Broadband Internet Arrives in Macclesfield
As mentioned on our What's New page Broadband Internet is now available in Macclesfield, but what exactly does this mean to the average small business in town?

The three key features of ADSL are that it is fast, cheap, and permanently connected.
However it is the permanently connected aspect of ADSL that makes it an ideal medium for working from home.

With our office network permanently connected to the Internet we use a highly secure system known as a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that will allow us to connect to the office from our home based internet connection and run the same applications as we do in the office.

We can also use this VPN technology to connect satelite offices to our main location.

Happy Birthday
Yes it's our 10th Birthday, in September 1991 Restore Computer Services Ltd was officially formed as a limited company.
However, the business has been working in Macclesfield since 1978 as the service arm of the national computer distributor, Micropute

Andrew Rosamond and Tony Caballero were responsible for the service side of the organistaion and when the distributor failed in 1991 they effected a management buyout and started trading as Restore.
